Doug, the kit you're getting will work just fine. The clean install just eliminates the need to drill holes. The new cables are installed in the stock antenna holes. Use discount code LUCKY7

Thanks Jake...

Perhaps I'll just stay with the current version since it's on its way and you said you were going to add the plugs for the old holes, so it shouldn't look too bad. I did forget to add the discount code to the EVO Kit Plus I bought. Any chance of refunding the difference as it would help offset some of that international shipping and customs duty stuff.

Regards
Doug

Can you PM me your order number?

Jake,

Question:

Do you start the amplifer and with its battery,

From the get-go?

Or turn it both on, later in flight, way out there, say 1.2 miles.

Once i got my Amplifers, after i have them installed,

I will start at no power on Amplifers, and then
im planning to turn them on,

when i get to a distance 6000ft

and see if the RC and HD signal bars move back to full signal bars

Then travel to 9000 feet, then turn off the battery on the Amplifers again.

And then see what happens,

Probably it will lose signal and will go to default and come back home.

It would be intersting to see though, and what happens, when you turn on the battery back on.

then again go further to 18,000 ft and turn off battery again.

Once i get the results,

Then i know my Amplifers are kick-butt

Im so glad Jake got rid of the old white clips, they where a good design but just breaked too easy.

The newer antennas are the way to go.
