IMHO this is a pretty pointless exercise as you're not comparing apples with apples. It all depends upon who wants to spend the most money on the best equipment.

More money does not exactly equal more range. It depends on the skill of the pilot and flight conditions. For instance, my result was 11,386 feet and I had a amplified setup. Keith's flight was just the antenna and he reached 25,135.7 feet. :)

You're recording the flight distance, aka distance traveled. If that distance traveled is a perfectly straight line, the "range" is half that. Very misleading.

Take a look at the screenshots, they were all taken from max distance away from home, so one way.

Crazy results. An unboosted setup going twice as far as a boosted? I understand conditions play a role, but that's a HUGE difference.

Yeah, the unboosted is very impressive! My boosted run was a quick test. I didn't run out of signal so i could have went further. That was the 2nd flight on the battery so I didn't want to push my luck.

You folks know why my distance is n/a? Just wondering if due to user error.

Yeah, I'd keep an eye on that. You'll want to make sure it knows where to come back to if connection is lost.

Don't mind flying back there (Hong Kong at least).

Weird, I thought Home Point registers by itself. Still learning how the p4 works. On my P2+ I would alway flip my switch and see the lights blink that it has register.

I'll be more mindful on the P4 to see the home icon or manually press register home in the app.
