How do I balance my Transmitter with Nexus 7?

I own a Phantom 2 Vision and today I mounted a Nexus 7 to the existing white smartphone holder by attaching an adhesive clip to the back of the Nexus, which allows the smartphone holder to clip onto it. I also have the RE700 extender attached to the transmitter on the right side of the transmitter. So obviously I expected it to be unbalanced with most of the weight being on the left side where the Nexus is, but when using my strap and balance attached to the transmitter and letting it hang freely the transmitter falls down vertically and to the left, which pretty much defeats the whole point of using the strap/balance. How do you guys counter balance it, especially if you are using a tablet?

Perhaps this would be a better option than a clip?
