Official P3 Range Leaderboard

w
Hey guys, I started a similar thread in the Phantom 4 group and had a few people asking about a P3 leaderboard. If you're looking for long range solutions, this will be a great thread to read through and get advice from people.

I will keep this list maintained. If you would like to be added to the leaderboard, please post a screenshot of your flight and say what your setup was. This is for farthest distance away from home, not total distance traveled.

Edit: If I miss your post, send me a PM.

what kind of battery mods all the v3 spilt 5200 ???????

My latest flight, 32k out with windsurfers, was using the Horizons v3 split 5200 battery mod. I think DB mentioned that the top 4 flights all used the Multistar 5200. Not sure what the rest, many folks just post 'battery mod'.

I taped the small battery to the front so the balance is better, makes for a more stable flightView attachment 56497

Aren't they each one pound in weight?
Thanx

With just the 5200 mounted on the vps module(i don't use it, have it disabled) how many extra minutes do YOU get?
Aren't there any other light weight lipos we can get our hands on?
Aging a 2300 Vernon up front, how much extra time does that give versus just with the 5200?

Thanks

Ok, thx man.
I'm trying to find the lightest weight 5200 + Lipo out there. But so far they are all around a pound in weight!!!
Do you think best place under the vps or high up the back part of the landing gear

He already has 20 miles suicide mission. I will be happy to get 10 miles round trip and land with more than %1. Right now I have got 8 miles round trip and land with %6 which makes the last 1700 feet very exciting, fighting auto land and pedal to the metal to make it back home.

I don't think I've flown in a week, this is my busiest time of year for work and when I have time it's been windy, if it's over 4 mph I usually don't bother. So here's the story with strapping one on front, you either have to mod your battery with a 5 inch cable that'll make it up front (or do a whole other extension cable, which adds more weight) or if your aircraft is modded you can run a cable out the front leg instead of two out the back. I've done it 2000 maxamp up there @ 190 g , two of my aircraft don't like it and one of them handled it fine! So it may or may not work on yours. If it doesn't work you'll know because you'll get "Max motor speed errors" or it will yaw out of control and out of nowhere as you're flying forward which is scary[emoji41]
Adding an extra 700 g on to the aircraft is extreme, but you can try it
