The 2s 4400 weighs 210 grams (according to Hyperion). The 4s 2400 weighs also 210 grams (weighed myself; Hyperion says 203 grams). So isn't it better to use 2x 4s 2400 (=4800) instead of 2x 2s 4400?

Are you sure? The 2s 4400 (not 2400)? According to Hyperion it weighs 210gr.

with the phantom battery that I have made to 2x 2s lihv 's i get 4480mah that weights ca 320gr. Thats better than 2x hyperion 4s 2400mah

Wow that's impressive. But how did you make this precisely? I don't really understand the 1 photo you sent about it. Can you elaborate and take more pics?
And can you test the duration while hovering?
