Still my STOCK RC ! Great quality feed even at max. distance.

Battery mod: 2x 1300 mah Nano techs. Landed with 0% battery, and 2.9 Volts on the nano techs. So I guess here is the limit now...Unless I get a better battery mod...:) !

You should put those batteries in bronze and display them -- they wont be much good for anything else. :D:D

Not to downplay this, but I'm more interested in achievements with a stock kit, with no mods of any kind. What can be achieved right out of the box? That's what really speaks to the technology. The second you start using modifications of any kind it diminishes the accomplishment somewhat.

I believe that the demonstrated max range based on a stock battery configuration is in the neighborhood of 7 miles.

I have flown 1.66 miles with no mods at all. I understand the addition of a simple windsurfer reflector can allow much more range.
I would say the realistic flight duration is 20 mins maximum which would give you approx 6 miles each way in still air.

Seems the batteries would be more limiting then the signal from my own limited experience. A few weeks back I did a 2.5 mile flight out and had no signal issues and I don't even have a windsurfer, just stock everything. Returned with 40% battery remaining so I felt I could have added another mile or so without much difficulty. Since the signal was so good I felt the limiting factor on these would more likely be the battery then the signal.

Battery is definitely the limiting factor on the craft. Just know when to turn around

You Fanti are a hero. You need to be lifted up onto our shoulders and paraded around town as a celebratory gesture of you boldly going where no man has gone before! Captain Kirk would be proud.
