Thinking of throwing the towel in already!

LMAO@Neon Euc Whoa, nearly sprayed coffee all over the wife! Seriously though guys thanks for the input. I've taken on board everyone's views and you guys are right! looking at the situation with fresh eyes he was the one making something out of nothing. He's welcome to call the police and waste tax payers money and police time, I have more than enough evidence to back myself up. Geeze, I may even send him some odd socks or tissues for his concern.

Here, enjoy my home range valley. I live in a remote area far enough away from the cities to enjoy not being pestered by dropkicks.

"Fake"book is a crap bowl: Its full of **** but everyone needs it. It truly is one of the worse things that has happened to the internet along with dozens of other worse things. Its a place where the un-educated are considered experts and bullies can hide behind the screen and keyboard. For posting videos I suggest a professional platform like Vimeo. I also suggest getting 'legal' get that license get liability insurance, follow the rules and when someone trolls you, don't argue, just tell them to F**k off!

I really am sorry I signed onto FB years ago. It got pretty ugly with social media, quasi friends I'll never meet and want to argue over something I could care less about, and time consuming. I ended up blocking everyone along with all the spammers and the real friends who got upset I blocked them too. They could still reach me via email though and got why part of it. I blocked my brother as well so he sends me snail mail now which is sort of like getting a UPS delivery of Xmas goodies rather than a email. If he wants a drone video, I'll mail him a DVD or thumbdrive as they are getting cheap.

Later my computer gave up and I had to buy a new one. I lost the password for FB in the interim of moving to the new computer. Never have been back there in 2-3 years, and don't care too any longer.

Beautiful!

I've avoided most social media, other than You Tube. A friend of mine kept trying to convince me to join Facebook but I always declined. Then one day, he created an account in my name and sent me the email address and password for it. Since it was right there for me, I thought I'd see what it was all about so I jumped in with both feet. Got to about 150 friends with about 25 of them actual friends. Did it regularly for 6 months and then just deleted the account. It just wasn't worth the time and effort. 65% of the content was emotional drivel and recipies and about 30% was political propaganda and bull-puckey. And then there's the incessant advertising ! What a waste of time

Yeah social media is doomed. Facebook is only one web site and only 1.6 billion people use facebook on a regular basis, social media sucks and will never catch on ;).

Well it's easy. I only allow those I actually know to add me and make my settings private.
Living in a head hunting tribe in a remote area I get lots of comments about what people think
my life is like.

I got my Phantom 4 Pro at Christmas in a deal, I'd been saving money for it for some time. In the meantime I did a lot of research reading and watching tutorials etc etc. The main reason for buying was my interest in Aerial photography. It's just mindblowing to see things from a diferent perspective and I planned on getting my licence and going commercial as this market isn't saturated yet and would have a good chance of taking it somewhere. I am fully aware of drone laws and always fly within the law. To cut a long story short I posted a short video on Facebook hoping others might appreciate drones in the way I do making sure only my friends could see it but I started getting harrassed by some guy that knows nothing about drones making threats. I was tempted to retaliate and defend myself but thought better of it. This is not the first time I've been hassled by other people. I'm seriously thinking of getting shot of my drone now as one of the other reasons for buying a drone was to escape from real life for a bit and just admire our beautiful land from above. Vent over!

block the person on Facebook and report him.

I'm extra careful not to fly near or over neighbours properties. Ever. So one day after a flight away from my yard, over a vacant block and then over bushland, this little copper from a few doors down comes along, irate, saying he is offended that I flew over his backyard. I said mate, calm down, I can show you on my P4 flight record exactly where I have flown, and it was nowhere near your place. He says he's not interested in seeing that. And so he ranted on.
They are out there. Hard to deal with those that refuse to accept hard evidence.

They don't own the airspace only the land.

It's only fair to say that in Australia, where this incident occurred, there are no laws concerning invasion of privacy from using a drone, but of course it would be morally wrong, in my opinion, to purposely fly and spy on people. There are however rules that prohibit drones flying over "populous areas". Which probably amounts to much the same thing.
However, the point I was making originally was that I wasn't flying over, or even near, this guy's property. Or anyone's for that matter. It just illustrates that we can be dealing with unreasonable people, and when that person is a policeman, I think it is a cause for concern.

Could I get a link to the hamster porn site?!?
