I got my Phantom 4 Pro at Christmas in a deal, I'd been saving money for it for some time. In the meantime I did a lot of research reading and watching tutorials etc etc. The main reason for buying was my interest in Aerial photography. It's just mindblowing to see things from a diferent perspective and I planned on getting my licence and going commercial as this market isn't saturated yet and would have a good chance of taking it somewhere. I am fully aware of drone laws and always fly within the law. To cut a long story short I posted a short video on Facebook hoping others might appreciate drones in the way I do making sure only my friends could see it but I started getting harrassed by some guy that knows nothing about drones making threats. I was tempted to retaliate and defend myself but thought better of it. This is not the first time I've been hassled by other people. I'm seriously thinking of getting shot of my drone now as one of the other reasons for buying a drone was to escape from real life for a bit and just admire our beautiful land from above. Vent over!

Yeah, I don't know what it is about these that bring out the crazy in people. Well I guess there are enough videos on places like YouTube to give people just cause for concern, but the other 99.99% of us don't really give a crap about what the neighbor down the street is doing in his backyard, or have even looked at him for that matter! Like you said, I think most of us just really enjoy the new perspective that quadcopters give us.

Just take videos and share them with your friends and family who would appreciate the art. Don't post publicly if your concerned about the tin foil hat club. The inter webs are full of keyboard tough guys and we're living in an age where everyone needs some absurd reason to run out into the streets and scream why they're not happy. The word "drone" is too scary for the uneducated.

What was the persons beef? Your decision to ignore them was probably best. They would go to water if you dragged them out from behind the keyboard.

To hell with the snow flake A-Holes. Keep flying, don't let scum like that guy win.

Look if we can't go out flying our drones or whatever you prefer to call them without some uneducated idiots thinking they are the drone police and want to try and spoil your freedom then what's the point? I'm not prepared to get into fights over it.

There is a reason that all of my videos now (several hundred in various events) are all UNLISTED.

Way too many jerks just searching for the public stuff to throw their trash at and act like they're "somebody".

Didn't need the hassle and I don't try to sell anything so I just upload them as Unlisted and only the people with the link can view them.

Pretty much all of the social media outlets are full of crazy people. I don't need the hassle.

If you are thinking about making some money from flying a drone and one, unknown Internet person is enough too turn you away.... it may not be a good job for you.

My other passion is motorcycles, and I cop flak from the great unwashed. I couldn't care less what other people think and I take all the precautions prior to riding, just the same as my commitment to drones. Starting up a commercial enterprise is going to be a lot more challenging than some flogger on Facebook, focus on your prospective clients and move on.

Block that user on Facebook. He'll no longer be able to see anything that you post and will no longer be able to threaten you.

Don't throw it in mate. I had 2 women screaming at me last year, thought I was going to get attacked. Saw them a few more times, nothing else happened. It's one of them things. You could quite happily walk down the street and someone could say " you looking at me, you have a problem or something, because I will beat the crap out of you"....

People are like that in this world. No matter who you are, no matter what you do, someone will always find a reason to moan. Brush it off, and remember... Your on Facebook to show your great footage, he's on facebook to troll as he's used all he's tissues and socks looking at sheep shagging dwarfism hamster porn sites

You are out of control! LMAO! You're probably right though, I recently had a bloke in a Subura WRXYZ challenge me to a drag on my BM superbike. After I gave him a flogging, he wanted to go me at the next set of lights for being a cheat. They walk amongst us......

My own FB page is only open to people I actually know. Those who don't know me cannot view it. You could open an FB account just for your droning. Also report the guy harrassing you to FB and block him. I also load my video's to a youtube account using a gmail address only used for that account.

Too many idiots around. Don't give into them.
