I'm not sure what point you are making here. He clearly says that he charges both at once and the power brick doesn't get hot. He also says the worst that can happen is that the power brick will be limited in how much power it can supply and the charging process will be slower (as I have suggested),

By all means charge one at a time if you feel more comfortable. There is no reason to suggest this is required practice.
 
In that video he mention that DJI recommend to not charge both at same time so the charger doesn't get hot (3'21-3'28).
I understand it is a suggested practice from DJI as said in the video. DJI-Amy also answered the question specifically to P4 thread so not sure it's a legacy discussion from Inspire 1 or P3.

I understand your point but wondering why the manufacturer issued such recommendation knowing it's common for power supply getting hot. Something must have happen.
