I just bought a P4P used with only an hour flight time. I get it and when I open it to inspect I see this in one if the batteries and on the inside if the bird where the battery sits.
It doesn't rub off and by the marks it seems like some kund if mini explosion. Has any9ne seen this before?

It appears you got a piece or dirt or gravel in there and the vibration etched a spot in the battery and battery tray. Did you see anything fall out, like a piece of gravel?

What's it look like when you wipe off the battery? Does the black spot area have a divot in the plastic?

By the way, that doesn't look like a P4P battery (5870mah). It appears to be a P4 battery (5350mah) I think someone did a swaparoo (that's Australian for swapping out) with the battery.

Are you sure you have a P4P? Does it have the sensors on the front, rear, and sides?

No. But it looks black like powder. I'm just worried it may have exploded while in the drone. Will test it all shortly

Battery comes on and the drone. But on my tablet it eays disconnected. I hook up the cable from remote to tablet, power the remote then the drone. I get green flashing lights on the front but app still says disconnected

With props off, and the drone and RC on, when you do a CSC (both sticks down and inside), do the motors come on?

Is the left led on the RC red or green?

If it's red, you may have to link the drone to the RC. That's covered in the manual, pretty simple process.

Once it's linked you should check the firmware version. Don't get in a hurry to upgrade firmware. If it's 1.3.509 you may want to leave it there.

OMG.
OK, I re-installed the DJI GO4 app and finally connected. And that's when I realised they sent me an advanced rather than a pro.

What freakin scammers.

I have attached the pic they used on gumtree and they said it was a pro. I just confirmed this drone does not have any sensors on the side. so it is an advanced

Are you sure you got a P4A? The battery color seems to indicate it'a P4. Look at the battery rating. Is it 5870mah or 5350mah?

The model# of P4P is WM331A, the P4 is WM330A. I don't know the model for P4A, but I suspect it's WM332A or maybe WM331B. This is located inside the battery compartment.

P4 will have 3 spring fingers around the plastic motor clips. The P4A will have a spring wound around the motor shafts inside the clips. Show me a photo of the motor top, that will confirm if it's P4 or P4A.

Definitely a P4, NOT P4A

Look inside the battery compartment. The label will have WM330A as the model, which is P4.

The motor clips springs are P4 style

Inside the battery compartment it says WM330A, so it is confirmed I got a P4.
I have reported it all to paypal already. I have messaged her to let her know I have requested a full refund.

Sometimes you just gotta buy new, which is what I was going to do in the first place.

Thank you JohnLocke. Really appreciate your wisdom in this

Oh man that sucks, not of any use to you now, but I avoid Scumtree like the plague unless the seller lives close by. PayPal will come to the rescue and hopefully you can ensure that Bec the Gummie gets the rating she/he richly deserves. Black Friday is coming up soon for Amazon Australia, so there might be some relief for you.
Kudos for @JohnLocke for jumping all over this.

Yeah well unfortunately I'll have to wait until I get the money back before I can get another one. If she doesn't refund me, then it will take up to 20 days before it gets sorted out.

Amazon Australia is a great thing I reckon. Bring it on
