Over 2 miles with a cheap 5.8ghz 14dbi panel!!!

Hahaha. Funny thing happened today. Went for another distance run. 5000 feet. Bird wanted to RTH. Cancel. Tried aiming real hard. 6000 Feet. Bird wanted to RTH. Cancel. Nope. RTH again. Hmmmm. Zero chance of interference in the area I was in. Got all upset. Got home. Was just about to take the remote apart, see if maybe a connector popped off. Notice 5.8ghz antenna is on........ BACKWARDS!!!! Gahhhh. I guess 6000 ain't to shabby for an antenna pointed completely the wrong way.

To be honest - my Argtek basic two panels + Omni centre give me over 2000m so anything else is really icing on the cake.

Is that the omni that comes with the ARGtek kit (10 dBi) and is it better than the ARGtek 6 dBi flat panel? I have both but always assumed the flat panel would be better for distance despite the lower gain.
