Well today I tested a 14Dbi flat panel Hubsan Antenna (5.8Ghz) on my P3S .... 1800m ...... where I can get over 2500m with my Argtek Omni stick antenna.

I kept turning round once control regained and pushing back out with antenna slightly altered to see if I could get better ... nope.

Now I will be flying as normal Argtek unit tomorrow at the Club site ... then next week setting up the 2W boosters on 2.4Ghz and the 2W booster on the 5.8Ghz ..... all powered of course from a decent LiFe pack ... the 2.4 via BEC at 5V and the 5.8 direct of the 6.6V LiFe.

Anyone want a 14Dbi piece of ***** ?

Nigel

Is the one you used different than the one I used?

It was the first time I tried the 2.4's and they still had video at 2000m when RTH kicked in. I think Ill keep em. Now the search for a good omni and I'll be happy.
