Not even sure what to believe or if this possibly was a coincidence. First off, let me tell you I live in a small New England town, not close to any military bases and roughly 20 miles from a major city and airport. I don't recall the presence of any military type aircraft unless of course they're too high to indentify.
I left work early due to a sudden break in weather and 75 degree temps so I could fly a bit before dark. I often times will fly from my driveway and fly around the neighborhood at 150-300ft, certainly high enough to clear the many pine trees yet more so to keep from disturbing the neighbors. After about 30 minutes or so and well into my second battery, I heard the noise of a helicopter. I looked up and there it was, directly over my house at an extremely low altitude. It was a direct flyover from where I was standing In my driveway. Although it never returned, I can't help but think they were alerted to the fact that something was flying around in this area. I know it sounds crazy but I'm interested in anyone's thoughts as to whether or not this was likely a coincidence or could they have been searching for what might have been reported by someone on the ground?
