Lawmate TX - Mixed reviews?

I'm looking to go 1.3GHz with my non-vision. I'd like to get the following:

IBCrazy 1.3 GHz/2.4 GHz Notch Filter
IBCrazy 1.3GHz Sky Hammer Antenna
1.2-1.3GHz LawMate Plus Dual Power 500/1000mW Transmitter V2

All this from getfpv.com likely. Also some sort of receiver, probably the RMRC - 1.3GHz Receiver (V4).

My concern is I'm reading all sorts of mixed reviews on the lawmates. Have these issues been addressed? Whats the current thoughts on the Lawmate V2 dual power?

just curious why you're going 1.3? Will you be flying in an environment where you feel like you need better FPV signal penetration? I'm just asking because I feel like most folks go with 5.8Ghz where all the equipment is tried and true.

Right, the 5.8GHz is really not cutting it. Literally. Flying around the back of the house is pretty flaky for example.

Up in Maine, I have a place where I like to fly but it's basically flying in the middle of the woods from a small clearing. I end up having to fly super high to keep LoS. If I can dip down behind the trees just a little that would be a huge help.

It's also a great excuse to get my technician's license!
