Flying Drone in and around Atlanta

Just curious why not Lanier or Allatoona

I know Lanier has a dam, but thats a big lake. Can't you fly far from the dam?

Or are those lakes "tagged" as corp of engineer parks and thus not allowed period?

They aren't state parks, so I assumed they would be good

No, flying in any US Army Corps of Engineer park is not allowed without specific approval of regional corps manager

I haven't searched but I'm pretty sure it was here on PP (maybe Mavic Pilots) where a member received (2) citations in the mail after flying over a CoE dam.

Thank you for the recommendation. I went there this morning cuz I am flying out today. The park is really nice and you can take some nice shots.

It maybe a stupid question. I know we can use the B4UFly app to id restricted areas but is there a consolidated map which shows some known Atl or surrounding areas to fly?
I have gone to Piedmont Park on Sat am once.
