Just purchased a p3a used i knew it had camera issues, what is happening is it flies great and has all the telemetry readings but the camera won't show a pic it just like flashes different colors, here is a pic of the screen, the black ribbon on the gimble is sticking out were its not supposed to, does anyone know what i can do to fix it

It sounds like that cable might be damaged. Got some detailed photos of it?

I don't know if this helps, on the1st pic the ribbon tab that comes out of the plate that the gimble is mounted to looks sloppy kinda bent( on my p3p it is thight against the metal tab) in the 2nd pic to the right and just below the lens the black ribbon is sloppy also unlike my p3p

Would it be a crazy ideal to put my p3p gimble on the p3a just to see if does what it should

No, they don't help because they aren't very detailed. Looking at your first photo again, it's odd that the screen is distorted in areas where the live video does not display.

What did you mean when you said "i knew it had camera issues"?

I believe mechanically they are the same, and most specs are the same from the software.

The only difference is in the quality of the video recording which is a software issue, everything else is identical.

Professional:
UHD: 4096x2160p 24/25, 3840x2160p 24/25/30
FHD: 1920x1080p 24/25/30/48/50/60
HD: 1280x720p 24/25/30/48/50/60

Advanced:
2.7K: 2704 x1520p 24/25/30 (29.97)
FHD: 1920x1080p 24/25/30/48/50/60
HD: 1280x720p 24/25/30/48/50/60

Even so, he is looking at a possible cable/connection problem but also needs to be aware that the USB connector/cable between the Display and the RC can also cause video issues.

I notice that your gimbal is hard mounted to the frame with cable ties?? NOT a good idea, get the proper anti shock mountings, they're cheap enough.
Cut the cable ties and drop the gimbal off the mount and have a proper look at the cable.

Thanks for the information cheddarman! I had wondered about it because they use the same esc board, just didn’t know if the gimbal boards were compatible.

The gimbals are also identical according to DJI specs so I presume there are the same cables connecting the whole lot! If this drone has been flown/landed with the cable ties in place I'm not surprised the camera has "issues".

Where is the OP??? All this help going out there and no response???
