Litchi is popular and there are a few others such as Autopilot, or domain specific ones such as DroneDeploy for mapping.

Litchi and Autopilot are the two most commonly used alternatives.

Litchi is great, Autopilot can be even better but a big learning curve, I stick with Litchi, it does all I need, especially on waypoint missions.
Autopilot is very complex and you can get some amazing results, but takes a lot of learning.

Litchi is the best to use esp if your on Android. Hardly any issues compared to DJI that I hear. Saying that tho.. I have no issues with DJI go running on my unbranded China phone that's Android.

For waypoint missions litchi is unbeatable plus when your flying you get vocal updates about height, speed, distance and battery. Only time I ever use DJI go is for firmware updates and flying over water. If something goes wrong then I can blame DJI on dodgy firmware

If you are new then master your drone with the dji app first. Litchi is a great app but best get familiar with your bird first.
