Yes, you can keep 1.6. Firmware updates are optional.

I've firmware 1.6.4 on my p3 and the bird fly great so far. And no NFZ restrictions as far as i know...

If you upgrade RC to 1.6, you got to upgrade aircraft FW to 1.8

I have 1.6 no issues for awhile but now it's telling me my RC needs to be updated every time I fly. Do I need to update this or is it part of the whole update process? Sorry for stealing thread any help appreciated

NFZ restrictions will be enforced if you have go app 2.4.3 or later.

DJI app will be silent only when you teach the latest release both on RC as well on A/C
