Ahh yes. I misinterpreted this topic as highest flight from takeoff.

I've been to Wyoming and am going back this July. Never thought about the thin air affecting the lift performance of the phantom. Guess I'll find out. Plan on flying from above 10,000.

Some on here are correct, the thousand foot mark is indeed a dangerous place... Cessna everywhere.

I went up to 2,700ft (800m).
Technically, the P2 can climb at 5m/s and descend at 2m/s. With a total flight time of 10 minutes (600s) you want to spend 3 minutes for going up and 7 minutes for going down, still having some reserve. Within 3 minutes, you can easily reach 800 meters. Simple arithmetics. I can confirm, it works. Not going to discuss legal issues at this point.
