Well this sucks!

With a busy day, I woke up to head to the lighthouse, a place I wanted to go since getting my P3S. I drive the 30 minutes, take the 15 minute walk in 25* degree over a snow covered boardwalk (mind you, I left my hat at home) and get to the lighthouse. I unload my gear.

RC connected, aircraft not connected. Hmm?
Restart everything. AC won't connect.
Try to link the remote. Still won't connect

I used the aircraft yesterday. Came home with it working fine. I changed the name and wifi password and updated the firmware. Everything completed successfully.

Any ideas?

Did you start up your Phantom and/or fly after installing the new firmware to confirm all was working?
Are you able to connect your mobile device to the Phantom's Wi-Fi?
Which message is displayed at the top, center of DJI GO when everything is connected?

I had this problem last week. I just shut down the AC, the controller, and the app. When I rebooted it the connection was fine.

OK. After attempting to link the remote a second time, I was able to connect. I have yet to fly it, but I plan to little later.

I went for a quick flight. Went up as usual. Went to
About 30m, landed, took off again and flew at relative low altitude.

Then I brought it up to 120M and I was getting error that my signal was weak.

Now,I never flew that high in the specific area before. This does have me concerned though. What happens to the drone if the remote signal is lost while in flight?

If the drone looses the signal from the controller then the return to home will automatically be initiated.

I recommend you go through the manual and watch some tutorials. Check and set your rth height and what you want the air craft to do when the signal is lost
