When I want to make some shots from high up I always switch to Course Lock. Then I can switch to ATTI to remove the tilted horizon resulting from Position Hold and let it drift with the wind while panning.
Why would the camera give a tilted horizon with a 3 direction stabilized gimbal? Are you talking about a non "+" vision? If so, I would agree that would be useful, but not so much with an Vision +. This is the Vision+ forum. Am I missing something?
Big Ben, not sure but....
Go in your phone app and UNCHECK the FPV option.
FPV setting is on out of the box. This will lock to gimbal relative to the Phantom.
Turn it off so the gimbal will lock relative to the horizon.
And NAZA-M all day!!!
DJI wants us to learn on Phantom mode to understand orienteering and they want to minimise mistakes for new RC flyers. This makes valid sense.
Can you imagine the amount of new flyers forgetting to check the S1 and S2 switches before flight?? How many people freaking out seeing their phantom fly sideways??
I've decided to go manual rather than failsafe RTH on the right switch. If NAZA is the brains then it controls GPS, GPS ATTI, GPS RTH. Rather risk a downed phantom than a lost one. And turning off the Tx also triggers failsafe RTH.
