When to go from F to P mode after advanced flight?

So, you take off in P mode and say get to where you want to do a POI or Waypoint shot and go to F. You complete that. At what point should you switch it back to P mode? Is that necessary for when you are bringing it in, or for RTH to work?

Yep, I saw and bookmarked that yesterday. But my question is really what you do AFTER using the intelligent flight modes. Is it then necessary to go back to P mode to bring your aircraft back in, and will RTH only work if it is in P mode?

You can fly your aircraft back in any flight mode. RTH works in any flight mode.

When using POI yesterday I had the pause button. Gave a it few seconds and then switched back to P mode
