WARNING Strong Interference DJI response

What should be correct compass readings?

I have no idea!!!

I assumed maybe they were supposed to be all zeros but I just did as instructed. Made sure the surface was level and pushed the button. I didn't question the result.

Hopefully someone knows...

Was out for a quick flight today and of course was bombarded with those annoying little messages. One thing I did notice, not sure if it is of importance, but the inundation of messages didn't start until aproximately minute 2 of starting the flight. When I got home I went into my logs of previous flights and low and behold every time, the messages started about 2 minutes into the flight! Interesting that they don't start 30 sec in or one minute in or even 4 or 5 min in, but always 2 minutes!
Will this little tidbit of info help our cause? Probably not!

I'll have a quick scan of my flight logs

Mine are all random. But all starting within 8-30 seconds. Even went back to flight 1 out of 35 and message was there from 1st ever flight.

Ok just read this thread and now I want to know what's up even more. I noticed only after installing dbs that my radio channel quality kept flicking between good and poor.

Now dbs 100% is not to blame for my messages because I have had them since day 1 and probably 20 flights without dbs.

But the only time I noticed poor radio was after installing dbs because I was checking out every option on the app. ( again dbs is not the problem)

But in the 1st post in that thread I linked to the poster states this was 1st time he got poor radio channel quality and get this 1st time warning strong internet.

So are they linked???

UPDATE FOR ME:

Just contacted a drone repair specialist in the U.K, the drone doctor and they said that the warning is created when the phantom detects electromagnetic interference caused by wi-fi, power lines, both above and below the ground, radio towers etc,

he said there is no known fix and that for the most part he said I shouldn't worry about it, however if the interference gets too bad the the failsafe wil be activated, (rth I guess) which is kinda good.

So I think ill carry on flying, just keeping an eye on it. Maybe some phantoms are more sensitive than others, which could actually be a good thing..

I suppose there is nothing else we can do but carry on. It's a shame I have to use my iPhone (because of the smaller screen and less obvious than the bigger screen iPad) just because of the constant warnings. Hopefully DJI will address this software issue. I believe it is that....way too sensitive settings for the risk!

Has anyone tried putting phone on airplane mode?

Agreed.

you have to physically turn wi-fi back on, so you can still use it, but yes you just loose maps

I get this same message and I only fly over a field outside my house. I try to egnore it, but what happens if their is strong interference?
Is it still safe to fly?

Yes safe to fly. If you read previous posts you will get some background.

But airplane mode turns the wifi on your device off?! Your Phantom can't connect to your device if the wifi is off?!

Jeff

When in airplane mode you can turn the wi-fi only back on :)

Just tested it lol

Passenger planes require all transmitting radios turned off. Airplane mode turns off all radios for that very reason, hence the name. Wi-Fi transmits radio waves whether it is for internet or something else so it too is subject to being turned off in airplane mode.
