Upgrading dji go app, will it force a firmware update?

Hi guys I have a p3p with 1.604 and dji go 2.4.1. Works great, but recently got a p4 so have dji go 2.8.1 on another tablet. I'd like to use just one tablet, so if i use the newer dji go 2.8.1, will it force me to upgrade my p3p firmware or have annoying msgs to do so?. Thanks

Not to start some big discussion, but I am of the one to keep all updated! There's always a reason why there are sw and fw updates. If ever something goes south then you have that tool to arbitration. Too many paranoid folks here sometimes who always recommend, don't update, if it's not broke ect ect ect. The decision is up to you. But always here to help or assist.

DJI go so far doesn't force anyone to upgrade RC or AC FW but keep reminding if you are not upto date.

Well when I got my new p4 and used the 2.81 app it did force me to upgrade the firmware before I could take off. Just wondering if it will do that with the p3p
