Tried flying my drone yesterday and couldn’t get passed 5 satellites. I never had this problem before this was the first time flying it this year. What can be wrong?
Calibration has nothing to do with satellite acquisition. First, try a different location. Even a few hundred feet away would be fine to test. Make sure you do not have any obstacles above the aircraft ( Tree limbs, etc...) the receiver is in the very top center of the aircraft. Anything obstructing that will decrease your sat counts.
I was in a canyon Friday and it would only let me fly 30 ft. high. I only had 6 satellites. I flew in sports mode to get high enough to fly in gps mode with my P4.
All depends upon the sat constellation; location of satellites in the sky. If your bird can’t see them, well.....Sometimes more/less sats are visible, too.
