I just bought 2 new batteries, can they just be charged and used? I have a Phantom vision 2 +. If not what has to be done?

Yes. Just charge them and use them. Nothing has to be done to them. You do have the option of updating the firmware on them if desired.

Is there an advantage to updating the firmware?
