personal vision videos

Hi, sorry for jumping in but I just want to express the joy of filming with the P2V. I pinky swear I'll go through the entire thread later.

I got the F2V on the 11th and by the time firmware was installed and all batteries were charged the sun was already down, so I took it to a nice empty space, did the compass calibration dance , marvelled at how stable and responsive the bird is and realized just how noisy ISO 400 can be. It was really easy to test-fly after sundown when the leads are really easy to spot and there is no sun glare on the phone's screen.

Not 24 hours after getting the quad I threw caution out the window and headed to a small port not far from home to do some shots over water (GPS mode and always taking of after satellite lock). It was nice and sunny with barely any wind at all at ground level, on the ohter hand the intense glare from sunlight rendered phone screen almost useless.

This is my first time flying an outdoors quad. I used Defisher for a more cinematic look and edited in Sony Movie Studio, applied a little too much contrast probably. No digital stabilization (it either makes little difference or looks really weird).

Got to test the stock FPV range, seemed to be about 400 meters.

I know spooking the seagulls was a real rookie move but the quad is quite further above them than what it seems. In later passes I went even higher and slower and they didn't seem to mind.

I would just like to see what you all are doing :D youtube.com/watch?v=N79g5WmC0jY I guess it would be nice if all the videos, personal and info were in one place.

Here is some video from my first ever attempt to fly any quad. I really am enjoying the vision. It was fairly windy, and my focus was more on learning to fly. Now I am attempting smoother shots etc...

Nice video!
What setting is the camera set to shoot in? Also what software did you use to convert it to YouTube?

Is that 1080p 30fps or 1080i 60fps or 720 at 60fps?

Your video looks so much more clearer than mine so I am wondering what setting and how you uploaded it?

Thanks!

Bit of a cross-post for those not wading through the Rotorpixel thread!

Ok, so here it is. My first edited footage using the Rotorpixel 2-axis brushless gimbal on the Phantom 2 Vision. Please don't judge the gimbal on my editing skills, they are not very advanced! Also there was no particular "story" here - it was just putting together a collection of shots. The light was lovely, and the dog enjoyed herself. ;)

Greetings!

I am a complete newbie and have lurked this site since November/13 - it has been an excellent learning platform due to the experience, expertise and time spent by so many well-meaning posters. Thank you all, it has helped me tremendously!

Here's my second attempt at video with my Phantom 2 Vision raw from the camera, but played at half speed to smooth things out a bit - that's it, no other editing: http://vimeo.com/83591140

Norbert,

You said in your link that you shot this at 1080p @60fps? I thought the 1080p is a 30fps setting? Unless you shot it in 1080i? Which will give you 60fps?

Thanks.
