I have two Phantom 2 Visions and one of them I only get about 600' out of it the other which came with a different Phantom Vision I Get around 1200' out of it. I suspect that something is wrong with the first mentioned. I would like to pair the better one with the Phantom 2 Vision and check the range. Doing this will tell me if it is the Controller or Phantom. Is this possible to do and if so, how?
    Thanks in advance.

Bind the controller to the Phantom in the normal way. Page 11 section 3.6 of the manual explains the procedure.

this may be stupid question but on back of controller there is 2 holes have you turned the one to fcc if not maybe one has been and the other hasn't .. this will give you more range

Yes...turning the (lowest of the two holes) set screw clockwise will set it to FCC you will get 2 Beeps when the TX is powered on.

    1 beep CE mode Europe/UK = 300 m
    2 beeps FCC mode USA = 500 m
