P3S Range & Altitude

I know the max range default is 1KM, With mods can you fly further than 1KM or it's locked by CE/FCC location based?

Is the Altitude is the same as P4 500m?

I have a Standard and it seems the range you get is more a quality control issue than anything else .There seems to be good ones and bad ones .Its luck of the draw.I was getting 280m max out of the box 500m to 700m with a DBS booster in open country ,very disappointing .I think the max height is set to 500m for all 120m is your legal hight in most places. I am going to sell mine later and get an Advanced .The booster did make the signal a lot more reliable though .

Max altitude is 500 m. Distance is based on the location you fly, I'm in northern Canada and have gone past 2000 m several times.

You can fly further with antenna mods.

This is what i got the other day with my stock P3S. I was out in the country with minimal wifi. I chickened out but it looks like the thing can go farther not sure how much farther though.
