I've downgraded my AC&RC : confused:

Hey everyone,

I'm confused because I did something that shouldn't be posible

I just installed another RC main board because I damaged my old one when installing the Argtek antenna.
This time it went well haha, so I opened the DJI Go app and thought lets check the firmware etc. By pressing the thing in the right upper corner.
Normally when you press the downgrade option it isn't showing anything because it it shouldn't be posible anymore but to my surprise it did show all the old firmware!
So I thought "let's try rolling back to 1.3.20 and while it did take really long (almost to the point I begun to worry) it said downgrade 100% so I took out the SD card to check the update log and it said succes without any errors and even my FW in the app say's 1.3.20 without the + behind it.. I've dubbel checked and did a test flight today (with the 3.1.18 FCC rus app) and WOW I can fly so much further then before! I stopped at 1700m and turned back but I still had almost full signal!

As you can understand I'm really confused because this shouldn't be posible or is it?

Was a second hand board from AliExpress, why you ask?

Valid question.. These drones have very complex serial systems. They communicate to each other and pass info related to operating. One board being out of sync with other boards allow software to use options not normally available.

Aha..thanks for clearing that up for me.. today I flew 2.3km and still very strong signal so I'm very happy and no way I'm updating it from now on.. also checked if the downgrade option was still available today and happy to say it still offers me to downgrade my fw back to the first fw release.. so what is or was the best firmware for the phantom se ?
