[P3A] I made some modifications to my bird. Plexi-glass and Zipties.. What do you guys think?

    Good idea but couldn't you find some smaller zip ties to use?

    I guess I could lol. Do you think this will interfere with the sonar sensors?

    I'll probably end up removing the plexi, but keeping the 2 zip ties on the gimbal

    why add weight for no real benefit? its a waste, take it all off...

    OP here. Took it off. Didn't realize it would interfere with the sensors.

    So this got me thinking... Is my carbon fiber plate hurting my performance? I honestly never thought it did, but maybe?

    Also, why do the landing gear legs even connect in the middle - front to back? Why not be just legs without the part that doesn't even touch the ground bc of the curve of the plastic? [​IMG]

    I'm trying to figure out what protection you actually provide unless you are flying backwards. How does it protect you from a frontal collision? Am I missing something here?

    Gimbal guards like these aren't for frontal collisions.

    Don't most collisions occur while you are moving forward or falling straight down?
