No return to home

I have a feeling this is because of battery life. I was flying normal and had about 2.25 of time left. Then I started flying fast and taking sharp turns and it beeped to return home. I could have sworn I was in p mode but under a minute it started descending where it was and not coming home (that I could tell anyhow). No biggie as it was over a soccer field. Anyone experience this?

Was your Phantom within 20m of the home point? If so, that's as designed. If your Phantom is further than 20m away, it will fly back to the home point.
