Here is one of the first videos I made of a lighthouse in Biloxi, Mississippi (U.S.). It got a lot of local shared from the news media and the actual City of Biloxi. I was surprised how well they took to having a drone fly over the city.

Pardon the digression, but ...

A million years ago, give or take, when I was five or six, my dad was stationed at Keesler and we lived in a small house just behind the historic Dantzler House. The museum just north of the lighthouse in your video sits on the site where the Dantzler House stood until Katrina struck.

A few months after Katrina, my parents and I happened to pass through Biloxi. It was early in the morning and the sky was a winter gray. It was so surreal. The few trees left standing were stripped of leaves and had clothing hanging in them. Seeing the reports on TV, we understood that the damage was horrific, but seeing in person was overwhelming. The scale of it was just too much to absorb. We saw the remains of the Dantzler House and turned onto the street beside it. The little house my family had lived in came into view, still standing with someone living in it.

Perhaps the kind reception to your video is due in part to it showing how the city is rebounding from that disaster.

This was my first time flying without any satellites. I'm not sure why I had zero, but I did. I was a few miles away from an Air Force base, so it could have been their radars, it could have been the time of day and low sats or it could have been the antennas on the dam that I was flying beside. It didn't help that there was some wind either, but I didn't crash! I had some close calls though, I drove 45 min to the spot and didn't want to just leave so I took the risk.

Here is some work I did for an organization I volunteer with.

AccesSurf is such an amazing group of volunteers, it was truly my pleasure filming and editing this!

I hope you all enjoy!

In Sydney Australia, situated from Bondi Beach to Tamarama Beach, each year for three weeks they have a public display called "Sculptures by the Sea". Artists from all over the world converge on this small part of Sydney to display their creations to the general public.

Yesterday I decided to take my Vision Plus to try and take some footage. Due to the large volumes of people I was only able to fly over the cliff face and at a distance. Safety was my paramount consideration.

The most difficult part of the flight, three in total, was talking to all the interested people who came up to me and asked numerous questions about the Vision Plus.

This is only a quick edit from the first flight.

This was the first flight after my bird spent the night out in the rainy-soaked treetops! It was windy as Hell and I had to switch to ATTI mode to head back against the wind. Flew over one of my favorite watering holes...Hella's Bar. ;)
