Let's see some videos!

This is from my hexacopter which I recently built. One limitation I've been working to overcome is the GoPro's lack of quality in low light. This is a NEX after sunset yesterday. No post stab. No enhancements of any kind.

I took a trip to the beach down the street the other day in hopes of getting some great video. I was very disappointed when I realised that the huge factory beside the beach had a ton of sat dishes on it and was putting out a ton of signals. If I flew over 200 ft or much further than that away, I would lose connection and it would try to come home. It turned out to be an ok video anyway.

First attempt (successfully) to integrate dash gauges into my flight video, then convert and edit into a movie.

Using Vision+ Utility, Dashware, and MS Movie Maker

BONUS: Find the misspellings (there are two!) and win $100 --- just kidding!

Today's attempt is a wimpy (in comparison to others) altitude record for me. Still keeping the craft in sight. Haven't mustered the nerve YET to fly totally out of eyesight and rely strictly upon First Person View on my tablet. Taking it slow as I learn!

If you folks can suggest better software to accomplish movies of flight, I'd love to hear! When I uploaded the final movie to Facebook the Facebook video processing REALLY degraded the video.

I went out to this athletic field in Okinawa and started flying around, after about 5 min F18's starting flying over really low. I decided to play it safe and stay as low as the tallest nearby building. It looked like they were flying from about 500ft to 100ft. They were doing touch and go's so they flew by a forever. Too bad you cant zoom or point the camera up or I could have gotten some cool shots of the jets. I did manage to catch them on camera twice.

Nice video Joefuller.

Is the river always that brown or has there been a lot of rain recently. I am in Australia.

This water, part of the US east coast Intercoastal Waterway, is brackish and it is affected by the ocean tides and it is always brown. I understand it is caused by tanic acid released from decaying vegetation. It's not bad for you, it's just not appealing. As you get closer to the ocean, it is less brown. This is about 5 miles inland from the port of Norfolk, Virginia on the Elizabeth River. Have you posted videos of where you live?
