Let's see some videos!

Great videos guys!

I don't visit this thread as often but when I do, I enjoy what I see. It's very interesting to see all the different landscapes, areas and places people are filming & flying.

Jeff, don't worry, I'm in the same boat as you and am a still bit 'heavy' on the panning and turning too. It's clear to see you are in the desert and with all the brown patches. ;) I thought your sunset video was the best one.

I had my 5th flight this morning and I forgot to turn on the video until the battery was nearly dead. I went up the highest I've gone so far and missed it all. As the alarm kept sounding and I was down to about 24%, I turned on the video and quickly ascended to around 100 feet. lol. Not as high as earlier but... I'm pretty nervous still and I'm working on my flight skills before I take her too high or too far. The bird in flight almost feels like an extension of myself and I'm actually afraid of heights. AND, I would be crushed if my bird crashed or flew away while way up there. You can easily lose track of it when it's up so high and orientation is difficult. I'm hardly relying on the FPV at all at this time.

Lake Michigan Shoreline

This is one of my first videos. I am fairly new so I did not want to go out over the water though. I was surprised by the low level clouds. I actually used my GoPro Studio to edit the Vision+ footage. Let me know what you think.

Ok. Here is my first edited video. I shot this in Northern NJ last weekend. Done entirely on my ipad air with imovie. Cut out a lot of boring stuff, but I could probably cut out a lot more. Took me about an hour. Not bad for a beginner, though (IMHO). Please let me know what I can do better - transitions, length of cuts, music, titles, etc...

I wasn't thrilled with the lighting. This was shot at around 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm. I would have got much better footage if i waited another hour, but i still think everything came out pretty good.

This was my first test of FPVLR.com's Stage 2 Antennae. I was able to go about 3,300 ft at 500 ft altitude - not bad...I'm sure i could have gone further, but frankly I was afraid I was gonna get busted flying in the park, so i just wanted to finish up and leave. Shortly, i think i will be upgrading the antennae on the Phantom as well...http://vimeo.com/99602008

Re: Lake Michigan Shoreline

A friend of mine, Matt, saw me flying my Vision+ a month or so ago and went out and bought one for himself the very next day. He had ZERO R/C experience, and has been having a blast with it ever since. He posted this video earlier and I thought it was pretty cool. Some amazing night time lightning footage. Enjoy!

I got in my second Phantom 2 V+ yesterday but only had enough time for a quick flight in unfavorable conditions. Today was much better flying conditions so I decided to put Phantom Bravo (1st Phantom is Phantom Alpha) though some more serious tests. Optics, software and hardware all worked flawlessly. Had no less than 11 GPS satallites at any given time. Video of its second flight can be found here, just about 6 minutes long.

Thanks!
