I was over 19,000 at 52' elevation and I was watching the battery and somewhere between 19 and 20,000 my finger must've been on the stick and went up to about 200'.. I could've stayed right at 52'.. which was probably close to 90 to 100' AGL.

A run with GL300C stock remote before the mod... (Back in November) In this location the runs are uphill. I was just above the treetops at the end.

New location I found today, GL300C mod + L-com antennas + FPVLR 3W amps.. Notice the height in the first picture.. Reality elevation about 100' or so AGL just over the trees. I have a 16 minute video and slow internet........ I may try to make a vid.. speed it up X4. OA - off. Channel select - Auto (No hacks yet)

Had one battery left to fly but was to excited... lol Next test is all penetration. :)
I hit RTH on the way back with a mile left to go hoping it would be easier on the battery. It climbed to 392' which I could've left at 100' in this spot. I was getting a little nervous.. lol Should've kept flying. Man this is a blast!!! I'm like Gram, sure glad to be here with you guys!!!

Edit: here's a low quality quick vid of the flight...(pulled from cache on ipad because my laptop is slooooow!) Don't know why it cut out about 3 or 4 seconds at the start. Flying into strong wind.. helped on the way back.

Bet every car slowed down upon seeing the vic bristling with antennas.

It is sooo cool to be able to just sit in your car, looking into the screen while the drone is who knows where. When I use my 24" monitor it makes the experience much deeper.

Yeah my outside runs today, couldn't see the screen. (He says as he switches mods from 300C to 658C to access HDMI)

I made a small hood out of cardboard for my Nvidia shield. It does work. Covering the windows with a sheet helps too, although that makes people wonder whats going on even more.

How's your Nvidia Shield K1 working with the new go 4 app android 4.0.4 ??
If you're asking me, I have a P3A. I use Litchi only (Works very well). I'm on this thread cause these guys do mods I like to do too. I just do it with a P3.....

First run with the mavic this morning! Love that little thing. View attachment 77637

Short update on the antennas. After testing the various systems up and down the most efficient and strongest setup is the LTX2400 amps with antennas screwed on directly. The 20db antennas with the pan/tilt unit only for special missions along power lines. These simple plastic boxes are water tight so I keep them on the roof or on the tripod with rain or snow. Especially useful when getting the matrice 210 flying this summer! :)

My latest fabrication (Has something to do with outside flying) for my night flights. Making a small bracket to hold 4 of these LED lights. USB powered (5.5volts). I plan on wiring in place of those useless front red LED's in the front end of the Phantom. Controllable by the app soft switch. They are very bright and will light up the areas flown in. Each light assy. takes only 1 watt (4X1 watt all together) Currently I'm powering them with a duracell 28L 6 volt camera battery. ( The room is completely dark for these photo's, shows how bright they are)20170305_192423.jpg 20170305_192449.jpg 20170305_192704.jpg 20170305_193717.jpg 20170305_192340.jpg

Now those are some impressive little lights! Great find!

Nice run Johnny.
Lol, shaking a bit on the way back... I hate that :)
Distance runs make me nervous. For some reason FPVing thru the forest, half lost doesn't bother me

I have the best video quality and range with
Go 2.9.1. with 1.6.0 in the remote. 1.02.502 firmware in the bird.
