Nothing sounds less convincing than the word "should".
I think DJI have lost a great number of current or potential customers with their blasé attitude to fixing a quite serious problem. At the start of this episode, I envisioned that it could take as long as two or three months to have the problem fixed. How wrong I was. It is hugely disappointing.

I feel for all those P2 pilots whose machines have been compromised, crashed or simply shelved due to this problem and if DJI had any balls, and any integrity, they would step up and take full responsibility for their screw up. I guess we could say that this is what they "should" do.

Reality is, they either don't give a ****, or simply couldn't care less. Buyers risk.

While I appreciate the efforts of all those who have tested and retested the firmware releases, my attitude towards DJI has plummeted. In fact, I'm feeling quite disgusted.

I don't want to hear anyone rushing to their defence. They bought this on their own heads and we are not in any way responsible for it. Let them fix it, release the firmware, and we'll all move on with our lives.

I think its culture. The Japanese seem to want to make the best product they can and quality is very important, with the Chinese that doesn't seem to be the case.

who cares... they do business in America and made tons off of us.

I have spent a good deal of time in Asia and was trying to explain why I think things are the way they are.
It was not an excuse for their piss poor customer service.

"Business is all bottom line" is virtually the definition of Capitalism.

"Business is all bottom line" is virtually the definition of Capitalism.

Capitalism is a social system based on the principle of individual rights. Politically, it is the system of laissez-faire (freedom). Legally it is a system of objective laws (rule of law as opposed to rule of man). Economically, when such freedom is applied to the sphere of production its result is the free-market.

China adopted a Social Market Economy. There is a difference where the individual is not important but they address the whole in terms of socialism.

It can be any of those, but you are over-constraining the definition by convolving multiple implementations. The unifying characteristics of all flavors are competition, private ownership and operation for profit. Maximization of that profit (bottom line) is the goal.

Thanks for the encouraging update Ian!

Now let's hope we don't have to fly it to find out what's in it and what isn't.

I said it in the beginning 4 to 5 months ago that dji will not fix the current problem and if the do it won't be for a few more months ! They have firmware 3.05 so DJI please release it and all of us can fly without TBE and J Hooking and not just the beta testers.

Same problem here in Hamilton, New Zealand. Only noticed this since the last firmware update to be honest but it may have been an issue before but possibly less obvious. NEED A FIX!!

I am sooooo tired of this topic and the associated drama.

Agreed.......

And if it goes anything like the associated thread of "Beta Testers requested to fix Compass Issue " it will eventually be terminated by the moderator/administrator because of a couple of trolls and unrelentingly idiotic posts by a few miscreants.

In any event, the point is now moot as DJI has indicated that the corrective 3.05 software will be released this week (or so they say).

Just unboxed my P2 H33D (after a few months) Is there a fix out for the drifting yet and is it for the iOSD mini?

Phantom 2, iOSD mini & Emmersion RC video transmitter.

Thanks, Louis

That was some pretty bad moderating over there! But if they want to do it that way go right ahead.
