I have both iOS and android. They work the same. No sequential numbering. File names start over from 1 on every empty SD card..

Hum, Empty or Re-format I think the last file number is saved in some of the other folders on sd card. I download from the sd card with usb cable. I don't like messing with the tiny card, only format it when trouble shooting. Of coarse they reset the settings (turn of sequential) on a firmware update, errrr.
