EV dial clicks as if it was the shutter button; what does it do?

The EV dial on my Phantom 3 Professional functions as usual, however it feels as if there is a button that can be pressed when I press down on it. If there is a button, what does it do?

For reference, everything is at the latest version.

Camera settings dial
Turn the dial to adjust camera settings such as ISO, Shutter Speed and Aperture without letting go of the Remote Controller. Move the dial to left or right to scroll through pictures and videos in playback mode. Press down on the dial to toggle between these settings

Thanks; I'll test out what was said when I go out and fly it; and not to mention, provide photos!

I'm no David Bailey ... so I leave on auto and use it to adjust the Histogram (lighten / darken).
