Editing program what is everyone using for a beginner

Davinci Resolve 12.5 is what I use. It's free but not really a beginner's program though.

I downloaded Davinci Resolve 12.5 for windows 10 and after a first glance I assume I'm gonna use it for my further projects.
Just need to play around some more days to know the capabilities which I consider so far simply awesome for this free product, hence I agree it ain't a beginners tool.
Its high system resource consumption might be a tiny disadvantage, better stop all other tasks while working with Davinci.

Davinci is bar far the BEST but it is nowhere near beginners tool! Davinci is hollywood's number one color grader - the fact that its free is simply a blackmagic sales policy (they simply noticed that when they offer soft for free ppl tend to buy their hw stuff like cameras, grading hw etc...).

I wish there were a better beginners tutorial. Casey's is good but he glosses over some important basics.
