Do I NEED a "recommended device"?

A few months ago I switched from a galaxy s5 to a galaxy s6 edge (its great), and I am about to go from a very old phantom fc40 to a p3a and I was wondering if a s6 would work with the dji go app.

I use my S6 & it works great (and is a great phone!); but a larger screen would certainly beneficial (I’m saving up for a Nvidia K1 Tablet)
