Could this be just a bad ribbon cable?

    Hit my house with my P3P, it fell about 6 feet. Video working, gimbal not working. Small nick on the ribbon so I replaced it with a non DJI cable, I know, bad idea. With the new cable the gimbal moves but no video and GO thinks I have a P3S. GO wants me to update firmware for a P3S and won't fly. With the old ( now split ) cable video works, aircraft flies perfect but no gimbal movement. I have installed the new P3P firmware. Should I try a DJI ribbon or just get a new camera/gimbal ?
