Hello. So about 1 1/2 weeks ago, I had a fly away on my brand new (3 weeks old) Phantom 3 Professional. I was using the Litchi app to control the drone. You can read about my experience in a different post (just search for WTF)! Anyway, I know that it is a slim chance, but I have been working with DJI Tech support. I hope was that they will review my flight log and see that this was not something that I did and was a manufacturer defect...obviously with the hope that they replace my drone. I have been flying drones for awhile - so I really don't think it was user error. In any case - since I wasn't using the DJI Go app, I could not submit my flight log directly to DJI. Instead, I downloaded my flight log from Litchi and sent the file to DJI. The tech support has told me that, while they will submit the log for review, there is a high likelihood that they will not replace the drone if I was using a 3rd party app. He started to say that it voids the warranty - but backed away from that statement. Anyway - I already ordered a new Mavic (I know - gluten for punishment) - but based on this experience - I don't think I will use Litchi anymore - I think it is a great app - but if something goes wrong - you are on your own! Anyone have a similar experience?
