Went to Microcenter today and ended up walking out with a P3P!

They have an unbelievable price I paid 700.00 for my Phantom 3 Professional... they have the advanced going for 600.00 and the Standard for 400.00. They had plenty in Stock. My neighbor is going to buy my Advanced and I'll be buying another P3P tomorrow.

Here's my receipt to prove it

No Micro Centers near me. Nearest one (4 hours away) doesn't show it online. Too bad, I'd jump on that price for an advanced.

That makes sense but the Houston location doesn't even show the Phantom 3, all they show is P4. MC doesn't even show the P3 online at all.

Nice find! Enjoy! These things are amazing!

It'd be a long *** ride if they didn't have it. LoL! 8+ hour round trip. Might have to call them tomorrow.

Micro Center in Michigan didn't have any. Im about 10 minutes away from it. Sort of glad because I ordered my P3P two days ago (it arrives Fed-Ex tomorrow). Paid just under $1000, no tax with an extra DJI brand battery and the DJi hard shell backpack.

The one I'm getting is a W323B (the newest one). When I last checked Microcenter a couple months ago, they didn't have the newest model. They had one W323A and two W323. -=Mike G.

I personally would be more concerned with what controller you are getting. The GL300C controller has a limited output compared to GL300B and especially GL300A.

Just purchased a P3A, very pleased . I live in France so everything is badged CE. Controller is GL300C. What are differences and why please?
Item purchased from big consumer electronics store here.

Yeah.. I didn't know about the controller differences when I ordered. I only asked about the quad model itself. It will probably be the GL300C though as that's the only controller I have heard of coming with the W323B model quad. There are many threads on this and it seems so far that people are still getting ~3 miles range with the new combo. Yes, the RC has less power, but maybe the W323B has a stronger TX/RX and that's how they are getting the same range??? I'm not sure.

As for the differences, do a search. Many threads on that as well. I'm not 100% on the A to B differences for the professional, so I will search now too! ;) -=Mike G.

Hmm my MicroCenter has two Pro's in stock. I don't know if I should upgrade from my Advanced though. How would you all resell? Craigslist? I'm imagining $650 max for a used Advanced

Ok thank-you
I too have done searches
Seems the output is less .
My quad is W322B
Maybe more efficient guess I will find out over time.
About 5 hours reading Phantom Pilots and a few others I confess
About 2 hours on the simulator. Although I criticised this to start off experimenting with IOC and follow me, POI etc etc is valuable. Particularly in Atti with strongish winds , nightmare to land .
Do not laugh now but weather family commitments during the day I have now the grand total of 9 mins in the air.
Go on all of you take the mick.

Safe flying

I will definitely try ATTi mode. I have flown several other quads. This will be my first one with GPS and the other fancy stuff so "ATTi" mode is the norm for me.

BTW.. if you want something really fun to fly, and to get used to the "ATTi" (unassisted) mode, the Traxxas QR1's are really fun, reliable and cheap. SUPER FAST and maneuverable, and very stable even in 15mph+ winds. Really impressive for how small and light they are (using "expert" mode). My friends and I have "races" with those things around a track that we made (using poles and trees) and it's great fun. -=Mike G.
