Wifi and celluar on or off?

Do you turn wifi and celluar on or off on your screen? I have hard that wifi (and maybe also the celluar) connection can interupt the quad. But I guess one or both have to be on to make the Google map feature work?

Neither need to be turned on if your maps are cached ahead of time.

Who knows if there is interference...it is just better for the battery and heat of the tablet if you put it on airplane mode.

I'm still not clear on how that works. I've tried to do it and I get zero maps when I activate airplane mode.
