I must admit for a while I assumed that the whole flight was recorded on my tablet whether I was recording or not, and was always baffled why people never had a video of any crash they had, but initially I recorded every flight from start to finish, so always had a cached copy on my tablet. It was a fair bit later that I realized that the cached video mirrored the Recorded video on the drone. I have often thought that the go app could, and should record the whole flight irrespective of whether you are recording or not. As said earlier it would be easy to do, and really handy for post analysis of a crash or incident.
