What motors do I have on my Phantom 2?

Hi guys,
Hey, I'm trying to order some new motors for my phantom 2 and I have a choice between a 920kv and a 960kv motor.
The serial number is PH645379226.
I bought it about 4 months ago in Canada.

The 960kv motor is the new motor on the Phantom 2 v2.0's. They have an increased max payload of 200g per motor. I'd go with those, but I think you'll need the new ESC's as well.

Hi there chaps .. is there any way to tell from the SN or part numbers inside the Phantom which motors it needs 920kv or 960kv .. the SN of the drone is PH646071292 and i think its a Phantom 2 2.4G V2 .. I just need one replacement motor so I need to match what I currently have

The ESC controller has a SN of V2.1 0292341726

The ESC controller has a SN of V2.1 0292341726

The easiest way to tell which motors you have would be to remove the prop (CCW MOTOR) with the black hub and if the shaft is all black those are 2312 motors and it's a P2 v2 model. Those motors all have to be 2312 ccw/cw and cannot be mixed with the original 2212, which had just a black dot on the end of the shaft, that came with the P2 v1 model.

Now if you have the original P2 v1 and what to change motors to the newer 2312 you also have change all four of the ESC modules to v2.1 as well.
