I did see that, but i cannot find anywhere that has it as more than a concept. What i am looking for still is the smallest / lightest "firing mechanism". The float-a-pet shows the CO2 tank, but doesn't show the firing mechanism which makes me think it was simply a concept. I have found one that looks lighter, it will just be more expensive to experiment with.

From what I've seen online, solid water noodles (the ones that aren't hollow in the middle) cut and zip tied to the landing struts seem to be the easiest. You can actually land on calmer water, and in a crash she'll float. Unless you're over some body if water that you don't have access to.
