I recently filmed Norfolk Southern Railway trains on the Pocahontas District at Coopers Trestle in West Virginia as well as various views along the tracks in Virginia. Although a slight challenge due to the speed of the trains, it is a lot of fun to follow the them along the tracks with the Phantom.

    My guess is pure luck!

Great video and it gives me some great ideas.

How did you coordinate the timing with the trains? Trial & error or did you know the schedule for them going through each area?

I've lucked into having some trains pass by areas I'm shooting video. Makes a great action item in the scene. Just wish the coal cars wouldn't have been empty in most of them. only loaded coal cars i got were idle.
