To cut or not to cut..

Would really like to eliminate the third and longest lead coming off my battery. Do you think there would be any issues with cutting this?

Obviously wrapped afterwards to prevent arcing/ shorting..

What are my options?

Cut and well isolated . When obstruct why not.

Strip the insulation carefully so you can isolate the conductors and maintain the integrity of isolation. The short duration of a direct short on the battery that may occur if cutting straight through in one operation will likely be tolerated by the pack but I would try and avoid it.
